people dont know that completing the mission/objective is how you win the game/scenario?
really? your serious?
wow! hadnt ever thought that people didnt know that was how you win......... just always thought they werent committed to winning... just participating. learn something new all the time bud.
will keep that in mind for future events & make sure it gets mentioned.
could see in your milsim games how that is a problem, but then again why would anyone play a milsim game if they didnt fully understand what was expected of them or want to win?
oh and Kyle: happy birthday. you pup.

Thanks man. I feel old.
Oh and for reference, here is what I am talking about.
When they first started playing games at Roseville at the prison, it was an invite only and it was teams that showed up. The shortsmanship was great, the games were balanced, it was fun. The next month they made it open to the public, no problem, more players is fine. The problem was that the first game we had about 80 players, the second game we had about 200 and roughly half had never played airsoft before. It was one of the worse games I had ever been too. There was one instance where green had pushed into the courtyard and there were about 30 of us against about 10 guys. I told them ok I am going to throw out my thunder B, when it goes off we storm. I did what I said. We ran out got to a good spot, but were all hit in the process. I looked around, I had two other guys with me, the rest were sitting back with there thumbs up their butt.
Now, another story of noobs. My cousin is very new to airsoft. He is a farm boy, hunter, so he is use to be in the woods. The big difference is that he listens. I was showing him things on youtube and he was like thats cool. I told him why X,Y,Z are cool but not very practical. He was ok, so what do you suggest. We spent 3 hours going over gear that he needs. I talked til I was starting to get horse. Now, after about 3 months of opens and events. I would have no problem with him being a squad leader. He still needs some direction, but he understands how to be tactical, how to move, and where to be to achieve the objective.
