Ok, so lets get to the real heart of this thread.
I stated that rules are important to the running of any successful and safe event. I posted the FORUM RULES, meaning that if you want to post a game you must follow at least these rules. You can post more stringent rules, but these are the bare minimums.
Buloushie, the rules I posted a link to are what the Mods, whether collectively or not, decided to post. They have been established already and thus should be followed. We all realize the need to have an enforce rules. Because this forum is used to represent the community in WV, we need to set the example. I have nothing against any of the rules posted and I dont think the other members do.
As for the control argument, There are two levels of control. We (the forum) are responsible for our public image and advertising events. If a field or individual wants to use this forum to promote their business or field, they should seed control and agree to follow our forum rules and field rules. The rules put forth are not so restrictive that the field owner cant decide for themselves on grenades, medics, etc. Our biggest priority is safety and the set rules reflect this.
I think the best idea would be this. I know most of us are meeting at Scary Creek, after the game or during lunch, lets hash out some of the "problems" face to face. I say problems because I think some of the posts have been misunderstood and once someone says how they feel, I think you will find that we are closer in agreement than disagreement.
Thank you.
