Electric or gas? As far as electric, I like mine. My son and I both got G&Gs for Christmas. G&G uses the top Tech design. So far I have not had any trouble. Won't know completely till it makes it through a season.

Javalin is a Classic Army product I believe and pretty new. You always take chance with first runs in airsoft it seems. I have to agree with sdk if your pockets are deep enough .

My first two pistols in Airsoft have been GBB... Now I admit I have not used them in 'conflict' with other Aisoft players.. However, that said, after shooting about 500 plus rounds through my GBB.. I am very impressed with them and would reccomend them as training tools.

I personally love my 1911 GBB, I had the G&G blowback and if you are happy with the low fps then they are great. I wanted to upgrade it, but once you open it up the fake bolt can bend out of shape, then it jams against something. It took me forever to get it just right so that it would not bind against the gearbox or body. Also if you add any weight to the front, the body can flex and again jam the bolt.
If I was going to get another blowback, I would get the CA. More expensive, but high fps, metal body, and no flex.
Just my 2 cents.

if you want feed back on GBB pistols then heres some:
KJW 1911: GBB runs on green, red, propane or co2.... exact in every way and shoots about 305 on the gas... switch to Co2 and it jumps to about 330... this is what i carry in games. its VERY LOUD and kicks like a real one.
FN 5.7 herstal: GBB green, red, propane very nice recoil not very loud and shoots about 315. its pictured here on the site. NICE GUN
GLOCK 18c: GBB green, red, propan & co2 this is actually my favorite as its semi or FA and this is just a beast! dead on looks, good range, very accurate and just works every time all the time.
desert eagle: GBB Co2 only. hard kick and very heavy.... jsut for looks as its too heavy and a gas hog..... shoots about 350.
there that should get you started! :-)

My first gun was a WE SCAR GBB. It was and still is really fun to shoot. Sucks when your going up against someone with a AEG, due to the low mag cap. Also had to upgrade the hop up due to shotty design. Now the WE 1911 Nighthawk is just amazing.
