AAR B4

Well after catching up on some sleep, I guess I should post up an AAR. Thanks everyone for coming out and thanks Saac for hosting the event! This was a test game to see how a few things would work out and I never imagined there would be people making the drives that they did! From a field ops pov, I saw a few things that I needed to be able to move forward with plans on making things better. We have been held back by the weather leading up to this, even if we got supplies out there we had to then get them out to the building points. The roads had been swamped out and thanks to Tiernan, who has been sacrificing his suv to brave the ditches, we were able to get what we had out there. The parking was tight but it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. I guess the most important thing for me is that I had a good time and I wished that I had more time to chat with everyone. I'm sorry if I didn't get to seek everyone out,next time you may just have to come find me.

Just a couple of key points for next time-

* I plan on building cover in the open fields
* I hope to get to start building pallet houses soon instead of just barricades.
* We hope to get a dozer in there and bury that debris from the burned down house to expand parking.
* I can't do anything about the main road, hopefully the phone people who own the tower on the hill will re gravel it. I do however have plans to re gravel our roads, fill ditches, reroute the water away from the roads and parking areas.
* I learned a lot from the lower field, hopefully at the next pickup game I will get everyone up top and I can see how that area flows. Then the real challenge of tying them together for larger events.

* We hope to get power ran back to the barn soon and hook up a couple of cattle fans for those getting overheated.

I had a good time myself. The field has some definite potential! For us older guys the big hill is a bit ruff climbing, but nothing thatmost fields ive played on dont also have. Probably wouldn't be a fun if it were all flat anyways. I'm definately going to put that field on my list of fields to attend events at!! Sporsmanship was just totally awesome, I seen nore heard of any issues.

I had a blast! It's been to long since I've been to a good airsoft game. Everything was very structured and well organized.

To comment on the hill; getting up was rough, but once you got up there it flowed really well. I would recommend putting a few small barricades on the main path, as it's very open.

Definitely looking forward to the next one, and thanks to everyone who had a part in putting this whole thing together!

Really enjoyed this one Jason, Thanks for all the work you have put into this field in the short amount of time you had to do it. A thought I did have is right past the village maybe getting a culvert where the ditch is at and filling it in so we could get some vehicles down there to the other end as maybe a gunship, but I see that as being way down the road on the field.

Had a great time. NATO did great for having separate teams among the side and coordinating said teams to move as a unit and get the job done. The field was great didn't venture up the hill cause when I had my chance it was already 80+ degrees and I just changed my mk18 for my m249 lol but yeah loved it. Ultra, keep me up to date man, deff down for a work day if I can get off.
