Anyone know? Also, does anyone have any recommendations on boots?

Ultra is correct. It's M81, (cold war era). As far as boots are concerned, check with Survival Solutions at Capitol flee market. They have jungle boots with the panama sole in both black and green. Light weight and great for warm weather events, (won't repel water). $29.

Thanks for the suggestion, EDGE. I stopped by Survival Solutions today, real stand-up place. They were just locking up as we got there, but they reopened for us and even gave me a discount on the boots. Definitely doing my surplus shopping there from now on. That reminds me, are you still selling ALICE rigs?
