Hey all! First off, if you know me, you know that I almost always go with an eastern block, modern russian style load out. I've always been a stickler for light weight loads, and the best camouflage money can buy.
Due in part to relations between the former Soviet Union and the west, the Eastern Block has created many patterns to closely resemble. For instance the russian SMOG and Kamysh camouflages are almost identical to British DPM aside from color variations. They also have variations of alpenflage, which is what i wear during the fall and winter months.
My main supplier is a website called SovietArmyStuff.com, i just recently completed an order from them, and i am hoping the ukrainian civil war isn't going to affect it... Setting that aside, the guys are SovietArmyStuff are very reasonable. They have just about any eastern gear you can think of, and will even add in some random trinkets like hat pins and they have even given me a russian music cd. lol
My secondary supplier would be Redsoldier.com. I have heard some crappy stuff from other people about them, but i always got my stuff very quickly.

(*)You can google all the russian army pix you want and you will see a missmatch is a norm. They do this for a reason in some instances. The "sappers" would dress this way to blend in with the populace of the area they're attacking. In other instances, that unit's supply didn't have all same uniforms. National service is still common in Russia and they tend to wear out their uniforms more than other nations without this ideal.
(*) The green bandanna or cravat, is a huge thing over there. This keeps that nasty sweat out of your eyes, and will also help with your eye pro not fogging as much.
They also commonly wear their hat with that tilt up, so the visor is not in your vision. That, "motor-T-tilt"
(*) I usually go for my summer or fall loadouts because the camouflage is ridiculously awesome. For instance, KLMK in summer and alpenflage in the fall/winter, all you see is a head floating around! Most KLMK suits come with a half-face-mask making you look like the phantom of the opera. Which is comical, but not to that guy on the other side of the wooded environment in ACUs who has no idea you're there.

IF you want to do an urban assault load out, I suggest using Gorka. This is widely used by MVD and special tactics teams in urban areas. These uniforms will have insert areas to put padding of your choice to protect your elbows and knees.
If any of you guys have some info you'd like to share with me or have any questions regarding russian load outs, i will be more than happy to answer. I've studied their military for years, have traveled to, and have a few friends in that region.
