Reqson i ask, is that the app, PES, available only for the android operating system, was brought to my attention when edge posted about it so i tried it and its a fantastic app and can be used for airsoft. Ive tested it with gunit and have been attempting to get several of my guys in the chicago area to get it as well for further testing. Those who operate on the iphone, cannot use the app. It cost about $17 ( paid in euro ) to load it on the phone. Ive already bought server use for up to 10 users for the next year and i can upgrade to support more users if needed. So, my question on who uses what, is to see the availability of android users in our community.

Pre-paid android units can be purchased for as little as $80-$100 and can be activated with unlimited voice, text and data for any 30 day period as needed for $50; just sayin'. The only drawback that I can see with this approach is that over long periods of in-activity, (winter), you might loose your number and have to get a new one. Nice little piece of kit for the money. We all spend much more than that on kit that is far less effective in the field.
This software could also potentially be downloaded and ran on an android tablet and the data transmitted through any tethered phone, but I'm not sure.

Mainly because I would be concerned of using my primary phone in an airsoft environment, if it was damaged I'd be up the proverbial creek without a paddle.  |
