Hey man. Im joe from huntington welcome to the page. Just some advice based on my own experiences. I strongly reccomend a G&G aeg for your primary and i also suggest something that will take m4 mags seeing as these weapons are the most common. Also when you go for gear try to get loght weight stuff so you will be able to move quickly. Ive seen alot of people myself included invest $100+ for a vest that once they get in they cant hardly move. Just my input find what fits your style best man and have fun with it.gimme a shout if your ever in the huntington area we have skirmishes every sunday and your welcome to join us.

Welcome, my advice would be to see if you like playing before you invest a ton of money into gear and guns. I'd start with some basic things at first, you don't have to have 2 grand in gear for your first game. First, figure out if there is a theme you lean towards. Do you like US military styles or favor an op4/bad guy gimmick? If you like the US style then I would go with basic surplus gear, its somewhat cheap and easy to find and will last you. As for a rifle, go with some form of M4/M16.As BH said, G&G is good as well as KWA/G&P and a few other brands. Stay away from that noob mistake of buying a bolt action rifle at the flea market and attending your first game thinking your a master sniper. I hate to say it, you won't be. Get a good AEG with auto fire capability and buy a box of midcap mags. As time goes on, you can change weapon styles and gear to fit your needs instead of being stuck with things you bought when not knowing the game itself. Here was a thread I had made for starters who wanted to do US gear. www.wvairsoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gearandaccessories&action=display&thread=525If being a bad guy is your thing, get an AK style weapon and a box of midcaps. AK's come in all styles and flavors from several makers. Cyma/JG are two good mid level AK makers. Ak mags are harder to carry and for this purpose I would suggest some form of chest rig starting out. Clothing can be any old mismatch camo or plain OD green/ Coyote brown set up. The key is not to look like US/ Nato troops, so that being said just about anything goes. I hope to make an intro to OP4 thread in the next week or so. Don't forget, good eye pro, footwear, and means of hydration. Hope this helps.

If you're looking for a good starter gun that won't break your wallet, try the Ignite Black Ops line. You can get a fully metal M4 at Wal-Mart for $100-$150. I've got one, and so far it's served me pretty well.

Welcome to the board! I just picked up another m4 since my hiatus due to work and moving. Elite force 4cr Most solid M4 I've ever handled its a re-brand of VFC's MK18 CQB-R. all the other recommendations are great as well I played with a plastic body JG s-system for years ultra received many o' bb's from it ;-) It comes down to how much your wallet can support and if you see airsoft becoming a long term hobby or not.
