New Format

I've been working on a slightly different format for airsoft games. Instead of the usual elimination only style game, I thought we could impliment different methods of scoring as well:

Domination - utilizes an electronic timer that has to be "hacked" by the opfor that seizes control of any of 3-5 geo areas.

Capture The Flag- return the captured opfor flag to your base.

Kill Confirmed - each player will be issued a dog tag that will be surrendered in the field to whoever reaches him first after his elimination. The elimination earns points, but the confirmation earns bonus points when turned in at the regen area. Collecting a team member's tag will "deny" the bonus to the opfor.

The locations of "domination" areas and opfor base will be unknown to both sides at game on. They will have to be reconnoitered.

This type of scoring could be played "stand alone" or used in conjunction with any scenario story line.

I'd like to get this thing fine-tuned and host a game in the Charleston/Huntington area soon. What do you guys think?

We play here in Clendenin and we've used all of these scenarios, they work really well.

Do you guys use timers for domination? I'm having trouble finding/building what I want.

No, we usually use our phones. Those work well. If not, try an egg timer.

Explain to me how you use your phones...

set up a timer on your phone, most phones have one. You can set up multiple timers for as long as you want as well on an Iphone, not sure about others.

I'd be up for trying it out whenever there is throw together games, see what works and what doesn't for the future.

I'm up for testing if there's a throw-together soon (hopefully on a weekend...). I need to get a little more involved here, lol.
