This is a "new" system that will be voted on the 16th. This system has been tested at 4 events, and is slated to become mandatory at all out of The Box Industries events. I very very much appreciate any thoughts you guys have on this subject.
The basic loadout for each player regardless of specialization is as follows.
- Primary Weapon (Rifle or Submachine Gun) with 6 Magazines fully loaded for primary weapon
- Sidearm/Secondary Weapon (Pistol or Shotgun) with any number of fully loaded magazines/shells.
- 2 grenades of any variety, thunder B, tornado, smoke etc.
Additionally players may choose 1 of the following specialties and indicate it on their RSVP.
1. Infantry Specialist – the back bone of any fighting force the Infantry Specialist is adaptable and versatile providing the bulk of small arms support for their squad.
In addition to the base load out the Infantry Specialist may carry the following.
- Up to 6 extra fully loaded magazines for their primary weapon.
- Up to 4 extra grenades that may include an underbarrel grenade launcher. If this is chosen the total of 6 grenades may be hand held or rifle launched of the players choosing.
2. Combat Medic – If the infantry specialist is the backbone of the fighting force the Combat Medic is the glue that holds it in place. The combat medic is responsible for keeping the wounded in the fight to complete their objective.
In addition to the base loadout the Combat Medic may carry the following.
- Combat Medic Kit
- Up to 2 extra fully loaded magazines for their primary weapon.
3. Weapons Specialist - The weapon specialist is the expert in heavy weapons providing their squad with a mobile base of fire to keep their enemies heads low.
In addition to the base loadout the Weapon Specialist has the following restrictions.
- The Weapon Specialist MUST replace their primary weapon with an approved support weapon (M249, M240, M60, RPK, PKM etc.) The weapon specialist may carry no more than 2 high capacity magazines for which the weapon was designed.
- The Weapon Specialist may carry up to 2 additional grenades of any kind.
4. Recon Expert – The Recon Expert is a master of the silent kill. Experts in infiltration and stealth the recon expert is a commanders eyes and ears and may move independent of his squadmates to ensure they are not detected.
In addition to the the base loadout the Recon Expert has the following restrictions.
- The Recon Expert MUST replace their primary weapon with an approved marksman weapon i.e. a bolt action rifle, or marksman rifle whose automatic feature has been permanently disabled. Additionally the Recon Expert reduces the number of magazines by one to 5.
5. Grease Monkey – The Grease Monkey specializes in all things vehicular. From vehicle maintenance to operations, the Grease Monkey is critical for a commander who utilizes mobile assets.
In addition to the base loadout the Grease Monkey may carry the following.
- May replace their sidearm with an approved PDW with up to 4 fully loaded midcaps. Approved PDW's include (MP5k, MP7, MP9, P90 etc.)
6. Engineer – The engineer is the technical support of the squad assisting with EoD, setting ordinance and utilizing the squad heavy ordinance.
In addition to the base loadout, the Engineer may carry the following equipment.
- Up to 2 magazines for their primary weapon.
- One of the following sets:
a. Heavy Weapons – May carry a shoulder fired anti tank weapon and carry up to 5 rounds.
b. Grenadier – May carry up to 10 more grenades as well as a multi-launcher or underbarrel launcher. These grenades may be carried in any format they wish.
c. Sapper – May carry up to 5 explosive devices that are player placed. These include rigged thunder b's, claymores etc.
7. Communications Specialist – The communication specialist plays a vital role in running the unit's electronic warfare operations.
In addition to the basic loadout the communications specialist may carry the following.
- Up to 2 magazines for their primary weapon.
8. Hazmat Operative - The HAZMAT specialist is vital in dealing with NBC threats that the unit encounters and carries special equipment and training to assist them in their task.
In addition to the basic loadout the HAZMAT operative may carry the following.

9. Squad Leader - The squad leader is the organization hub of the unit and is responsible for ensuring that orders from command are executed.
In addition to the basic loadout the Squad Leader may carry the following.
- Up to 4 additional magazines for their primary weapon.
- Up to 2 additional grenades of any type.
