This is my review of the Hakkotsu Thunder B CO2 Sound Effect Airsoft / Paintball Simulation Grenade. Most of you have probably seen the video on youtube of this grenade in action, if not here is the link.

Ok so on to the review.
The grenade is comprised of three main parts. The CO2 cartridge compartment, the pin mechanism, and the outer shell.
The CO2 compartment is made of metal and you use a 12g CO2 cartridge. I
got mine from Walmart. They work, but you might find some place cheaper. Very solid and well made.
The pin mechanism is also made out of metal and is very well built. The grenade comes with two pins and an extra plastic bushing. The spoon does not come off when you through the grenade which is a big plus in my book.
The outer cover is made of plastic and you get one flash bang cover and two pineapple grenade covers. They are made of plastic and dont have the best finish, but considering you are going to be throwing these things it really dosent matter.
Ok, now in the video it shows how the grenade works and there is no good directions on how to operate the grenade. You need to pull the hammer back all the way til it is next to the spoon before you release it. You use the pin in the first spot to set the hammer and then put the pin in the second position to arm it. Pull the pin like a normal grenade. Also, the grenade is about four times louder than in the video. I did not put any powder in the grenade and that might be why, not sure at this time. It did produce a loud bang (~110-120 decibels) and I was sightly stunned to be honest. Then I looked at the casing. The top of the flash bang was blown off and the case cracked down the seam of the plastic!(this is the way the grenade is designed to work) I was saddened that the case is destroyed, but with the performance of the grenade is well worth it. Again it uses the C02 cartridges and is designed to be reusable. This grenade does not fire BBs like the Tornado.
I am not sure if I am going to get another, but this will add a new dimension to any field you play at. If you have any questions let me know!
