I'm trying to find the best camo for our WV wood's. I really would like to stay away from BDU since it is so common. I found some really nice Flecktarn camo for cheap and thought about buying it. Everyone says multicam is a true universal camo, but it's really expensive. What would be the best camo for our woods?

Woodland- cheap and easy to find, yes it's common but you dont see to many people doing it up right.
Fleck- uniforms are cheap, gear is harder to find but od green works really well. This camo works really well around here, I used to run it years ago
Marpat- Works well, good pattern. Just don't go too far and cross that line of imitating a Marine.
MC- expensive and I've found only really works around here in the fall and winter when everything is dead.

As a multi cam user I agree with ultra,I'm looking to go to Marpat myself. I do like my multi it's just the wrong shade of green for here I think in the summer.it would need to be green based I think to work here not tan if that makes sence.

Awesome...I found some surplus Fleck in my size for 27 bucks...and the full loadout, comes with 2 dump pounches, 6 mag pouches, radio pouch, and its 40 bucks. So I think I am going to go with Flecktarn...thanks guys!

I have woodland for green and MC for tan. You can get MC from RAP4 for like 45-50 bucks, tops and bottoms. I would also suggest a tan or OD green plate vest, will work with any camo.

Marpat is nice, I wear it alot on my hillside when I am cutting brush. It seems to work pretty well, but in darker areas it seems to stand out alot more than fleck does. But you have alot more accessories for marpat than you do fleck.

I've seen a few Marpat carriers, but they reproductions. OD green works well with it.

I'm not an expert on Marpat, but almost everything pouch and vest wise that you find in that pattern will be aftermarket knockoffs because the Marines have their gear in coyote brown.

There was a small amount of gear that was produced in MARPAT for the Marines. As in the actual BDU, it will have the EGA embedded. I have a few pieces of it in the form of pouches. As far as I know, there were no vests in MARPAT, the FLC (molle vest) was used as the base for the load out. One of my favorite sellers on eBay will occasionally have the pouches and various other pieces. This is where I got my stuff from. Hard to find from what I remember.
