What about bang kills? I can imagine this thing turning into a bunch of people running around with unloaded guns yelling "bang" at each other if the normal acceptance rule isn't changed. Knife kills would be an interesting development.

You can't bang kill if you don't have ammo

And rubber knives could be really handy for this

This is sounding good, about how long would it take to iron out the details on something like this and get the ball rolling on turnout?

I don't know I'm just tossing out ideas. It's koolaids ball to roll. It sucks that I'm in Beckley now and cant get up there to work on a field and stuff. It I would say the not scout camps a good place for these games. If you get it booked after they setup the tents for the campers then there are little villages that could be base camps for each factionto have to hold to secure there findings and a place to respawn.

Also I was thinking instead for one mag everyone has 100 rounds to start the game. So if you want to just rock a pistol a d shot gun then you have enough but if it's one may and I want to just use a pistol then I have just 14 shots but with 100 I can have a few pistol mags and a shotgun if I want. Just a thought

Wow, so many great ideas. Dan, if you or anyone wants to get this rolling be my guest. I was just starting the fire. Plus I am horrible at coordinating games and I also know nothing about the Boy Scout camp, that seems to be more of your area of expertise. However on the note of the tents; that would be a godsend for us, considering it is less stuff we have to do lol.
I did like the idea of a weapon depot, but that would require everyone to agree on parting from their primary for a while. I also liked the radio tower, that could definitely be a scenario worth panning out.
I also like the idea of a hundred rounds, that way you can run with a pistol and a few mags or a rifle and a pistol...mix it up. As for gear restrictions I was thinking all non-military forces use old civilian clothing, a backpack and whatever they think they would be wearing during probably the worst time in human history.
I would like to see some scenarios were you have to work with an opposing force, such as the radio tower or barter supplies. Remember it's the end of the world so some survival situations will cause you to band together to get an important job done.
EDIT: If this gets off the ground and turns out to be a good event and the world does not end; I believe that this could be a good yearly event for us.

I agree with the idea civilians wear clothes except for one thing. You should be able to/really should wear a camel back of some kind. The game at the camp would have been even more fun for me if I had a camel back. And I recommend everyone to at least go to walmart and buy one for $19.99 and a bladder for $9.99

Well the problem I'm having right now is I'm in Beckley. I'm an hour and a half from you guys so I wont be able to do any of the leg work for this game.

What needs to be done as far as "leg work" goes to get this going?

We did a game like this last year at Roseville called Nightfall. Had 118 players come out and it was a total blast! We are doing a sequel in September, a 2 day overnight event in Chillicothe. I love seeing more players get involved with events like this, breaks the mold and if done right they can be amazingly awesome! Good luck
