Well at 500 bucks a pair, I don't think many people would have any experience with them. They look cool and would work ok, if the gps is good enough. Personally I think a map and a good radio, along with practice using them, would work just as well if not better for knowing where your team mates are.

i agree with the land nav idea. at op blind fury 7 i got linked up with a sr rotc cadet (now a 2lt im sure) and watched him use land nav to turn the tide of a major battle by knownng friendly teams position. but these do look nice and would be more like a blue force tracker. minus the hi def grid maps of b.f.t.
just wanted to know if anyone had them.

They would actually probably lack any of the useful features of any FBCB2. Considering the range on these is kinda lousy. LOS and a good challenge and password would work just as well, without spending any money. You actually found a cadet that knows land nav? I'm impressed. The most dangerous thing in the army is a butter bar with a map. and not in a good way. A simple grid map and a radio are the two most valuable things in a game like blind fury. Unfortunately everyone is an idiot.

Would a couple of Garmin radios not do about the same? Plus you would have radios also.

Not unless this thing you speak of has the ability to: track other friendly systems in real time, via satellite or radio. place icons to mark enemy positions or hazards, and display what type, direction, speed, how many, and when the marker was posted. send text messages. Give status reports on friendly units, including Ammo, fuel, and casualties, and averaging it all out to a percentage of combat effectiveness. Plot waypoints Disseminate other important tactical information and all on a topographic map?

And a map+ a radio is a lot cheaper. For airsoft I can't think of anything better.

Well, If you're seriously looking for some of the features that the cube tracker thing has. The garmin would probably be a better choice.
