well i think all in all we had a good day. i would like to start off by thanking the theta group and the ruin raiders for coming down and helping us out. i wish the rain had stopped a couple hours sooner but we still had a good day of bb slinging.

Thanks for having us, was a fun and exciting day.
It was great to meet many people on the forum and made to be welcomed.
Even though I set a personal record for safety kills in one day LOL

Had a pretty good time. Still a few issues to work out with the place though. Tiernen, what's with ditching us without saying goodbye? Kinda hurt my feelings... Would have nice if it would have been a little less wet.

Certainly the most intense game I've been to thus far. Had a great time. Didn't feel nearly as useless this time.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for a great day of Airsoft. I was very happy with the minimal down time, and fast intense games. It was worth the price for sure. Great to play with you guys and I hope to see you at some raiders games also....

Yeah the rain sucked guys. I guess for the record I'll put down why I didn't play, it wasn't Dan or Tiernans fault for the facemasks. I was with them when they booked the place and everyone thought it resolved, but they sprung it on us at last minute. I for one refused to wear one of those things, but I made sure not to complain or be a problem in front of the owners. I just chose to sit out this one and next time I'll have one of those half mask setups like the Theta guys had. I still had fun watching you guys and getting to chat with everyone.

Ok, after a day or so to collect my thoughts, I want to say first that it was nice to go to a different field. There were some good things about the field, but there are also some things that need to be addressed.
Dan, I believe you were the one who organized the game, if not I apologize. I did not like the fact that the face masks had mesh on them and I think that they will need to get better quality goggles with an ansi rating. I think we should have done a safety brief/special rules. For instance, I didnt know if my Thunder B would kill people in a bunker or not. So a short brief so we all know whats expected of us from an airsofter would have been helpful. With that being said I personally didnt have any problem with sportsmanship, although I heard of one or two instances. Again, not a big deal, it happens, but over all the sportsmanship was really good.
The barrel bag was a little weird at first, but I can see the safety aspect and while it was annoying at first I got the hang of it by the end of the day.
I thought the CQB field was nice. It was a little bit cluttered, but the back field is what I think we can really work on it and make the field the way we want to. I didnt liked the fact that we were rushed into games once the paintballers showed up, but at the same time you got a lot of trigger time on the front coarse.
It was really nice to meet a lot of people and for 12 bucks you really cant beat it. Also, as Rig said, if we play there enough the games will run more smoothly and the rules should change to meet our needs within reason. We must remember that we are guests at their field and follow their rules.
If you didnt get to come you missed a fun time. Oh and if you enjoyed the smoke grenade your welcome!

Agreed. Wasn't Dan's. Actually wasn't really anyones. So I think we did miss the boat on the safety brief. It would have helped some of the new players. Barrel bag wasn't bad too bad I couldn't hold onto it at the end. Definite on the mask/goggles..... The smoke didn't help me. It got me shot... If the'd take some of those brriers out. I think it would make that field more interesting for us. Less interesting though for the paintballers. The back field really does have potential. I think you got the best view of it though. From where I was at. All I could think about was a drainiage ditch.

Highlight of the day had to be when Rig walked up to me during the first game and said, "Wow that's embarrassing. Always remember to take the safety off." Best first game of airsoft ever.

Hopefully I can get my pics up tomorrow night, remember they were from outside that mesh fence stuff and most were out of focus. I did grab some video on two cameras, but it will need spliced together...this may be a job for Saac. IMO, Scary Creek will be a good place for games when we have nothing else planned. Lets face it, these folks have made a living on paintball and it's going to take awhile to break through to them to give airsoft a chance. You really can't fault them for it, it's provided them a solid source of income for years. I did however talk to a cool parent about a possible playing spot and though I got his name I didn't recognize his son's real name. He was the driver of the big U Haul and if your on here give me a shout on PM so I know who you are. ....Oh yeah, I got internet hooked up finally if you haven't noticed.
