Hey all,
I have been having a discussion in the Raiders about milsim. I know that Airsoft is a hobby and its great to go out and play with your friends. So here is my question, are there people or teams in WV who enjoy the milsim structure more than the casual open play style. I personally like both, but I like the milsim more. I know Jonah, a good friend, loves to mess around and just have fun. So I am wondering your play style, if you do like more structure there is a group I think you would be interested in,the USJTF. I know there are probably not a lot of you guys, but I wanted to check and sure.
Thanks

Teams in WV, thats funny! ;D Sorry, any mention of teams here will cause everyone to either stop posting or start a "I hate this kind of uniform pattern rant". As long as it's ran right and not over complicated I like milsim events. I think the main thing that bothers me is roleplayers, I have some bad memories with the Blind Fury civilians. If I have the funds and time I like to get together kit that will go along with the story arc. We do have to watch here because we only have a handful of people and strict milsim willl run off half of our players because they are unable or unwilling to meet the uni requirements.

MilSim.....it has a different meaning to everyone!
Well, Im used to the milsim and have to say thats my preferred venture. Being part of the very small airsoft community here in WV definately has its limitations to the milsim aspect. I do play both as they offer up variety and change. To get my milsim, or hardcore fix, I travel back up the Chicago, and of course Eastwind.

I like milsim style games. I like having goals to achieve and missions to get done. As long as the game isn't scripped and both sides have missions and goals to get done I like it.

i aggree with what dan posted. and ultra has a point as well some people i've played with before i joined this site were WAY over doing milsim... running around barking out orders and acting like we'll be court marshalled for disobeying... its annoying and ruins the game for me. but there have been some games like FAW and Op: BEL that had nobody like this there. (as far as i know anyway.) milsim is fun but a good old back yard brawl is a blast every once in a while.
