Well after a hit or miss 2011 I was wondering what people look forward to seeing in 2012? Any ideas or suggestions? Lets try to keep it positive and I'm going to link Norris's thread to this one, they are kind of the same thing but I don't want to junk up his game idea conversation. You can find that here- www.wvairsoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=discussion&action=display&thread=345As for me- * I put up the Facebook group to try advertise any events that we may be planning. * I wanted to ask Dan if he ever got those business cards from Vista print? I wanted to start a campaign of placing cards in Airsoft/ gun/paintball magazines at stores, leaving them at gunstores, sporting goods stores, comic book stores and any kind of genre specific place that could draw us more players. This is like casting a wide net, we will bring in some turds but hopefully we find some good people. * I wanted to ask The Skeleton what the status of his land was? * Since I put the FB page up I noticed several other WV groups and I would like to link up with these guys. We have to be careful with this, I don't want to burst in on these guys and come off like we are forcing anyone to do things our way or use our site, because that is not the intention. Hopefully if they are like us then they need players. I'll have more wingnut ideas soon, but I would like to throw out that at least our website is doing good and seems to be "over the hump" with the past problems. A big thnks to the admin team and everyone behind it! ;D Now post some ideas!!!!

Oh yeah- I would like to start trying to get people to make group trips out of state to visit other groups like the Ruins Raiders or Theta. We used to do this back in the day and we can't keep asking them to attend our games if we only send one or two up tho theirs. Just a thought.
(yes I know some of you go all the time, this is more of a statement for the others including myself)

I plan to hit some of the "local" out of state gigs this year with you guys. I also want to see if a few of the WVairsofters would like to hit a Chicago 2day (camping on sight) event with me in August as well and I promise you, it will be good, trust me .......

Now that Hunting season is over and I wont get shot at I will go check it over and talk to my Uncle about banning people from hunting on it for awhile so we can play.
If I can I might get some of the Putnam County Deputies into playing again. (They used to for training and I know a few enjoy it.) There are a few that really enjoyed it and I will ask them about it.

As I was riding around with my dad we thought of an excellent place to play. Plymouth, it is a state park that no one ever goes to unless it is hunting season. It would be perfect.

As I was riding around with my dad we thought of an excellent place to play. Plymouth, it is a state park that no one ever goes to unless it is hunting season. It would be perfect. The Amherst Wildlife Preserve is an EXCELLENT location. I've brought it up a couple of times on forum. It is over 7,000 acres of hillsides & gullies with two strip mine sites and a couple of deep mine sites owned by Amherst Industries and manages bys the WVDNR. The following is a topo of the most readily accessible area with some waypoints, etc. that I added while brainstorming with another of our memebers. Some time ago I received permission to play there from Amherst via email with instructions to contact WVDNR for their permission as well. After repeated emails and voicemails, the WVDNR has yet to respond. There is currently a ban on the use of motor vehicles, but I'm hoping that the DNR will grant a waiver. Let me know what you think. (Yes, I know that F16's aren't normally used for recon. I just typed the scenario up very quickly to give my associate the general idea that I had.)

As long as we have the permission I'd give it a shot.

Motor transportation is restricted to preserve the backcountry characteristics...... just saying, if we couldn't get permission to drive 14 miles up a road to get a dog I doubt they'll let a couple trucks drive up and down all day.

Maybe not, but there is already a road there that follows the posted waypoints and several fourwheeler trails. The road is still well-traveled by Amherst company vehicles, so...
