I'd like to attempt putting a game together. I'd like to do a night game and base the game around the video game Operation Flash point. the green team would be the U.S. Military and Tan would play the role as the PLA. let me know if your interested?
I have a location in mind also but I'll have to seek permission first. itas public land but its not a park or anything. people play paintball there and mostly ride ATV's.

First of all I'd like to commend you for making the green Team US. I'm getting tired of games where for some reason US woodland, and every other nato pattern is the bad guys, and desert pattern and Multicam, which we hardly use, are the good guys... *coughfuldagapcough*. As for night games it depends on vegetation and the terrain. Night games in dense vegetation on a small field tend to be slow, confusing, and even dangerous.

this is why I picked the Mission and game play of operation flashpoint. the place I have in mind looks so much like the Island of Skira on the game. its very open with fields and some woods. I'd like to see a large AO and maybe do a pilot down or a raid type mission. where one team has a base they have to protect and secure. and the US lead team would be required to infiltrate and destroy some kinda equipment or something. i'd like for the game to last as long as 8 hours even. I dont dig Call of Duty team death matches lol.

Which Fulda Gap game you talking about. The airsoft one in NC has had the US Green for the past 2 years and the Russians tan Also I love Night OPs as long as there is alot to do, and not just Deathmatch in the dark |

Th upcoming one. not that it matters wasn't much of a "cold war" scenario anyhow, from the looks of things. not everything comes down to tan and green.

i wanna go to operation east wind. thats as cold war as it gets!!! tan vs green is an easy attempt at spliting teams. i think shirts and skins wouldnt go over well in airsoft. though it would be kinda funny watching some dude dressed like rambo get lit up by a saw gunner

Dividing it by nationality is never a bad idea. The problem is you have people in airsoft that can never remember what uniforms they're fighting.

Soldier, while I admire your enthusiasm I really thing we should try to get field setup first. I know you want to put this off until late summer, but that really isnt enough time to plan an event and get a good field setup. Day games are hard enough to organize, let alone night games. This is a case of craw before you run, kinda thing.
If you have a place to play that is on private land, you are taking a huge risk by inviting strangers to a place where they could potentially get hurt and sue. So insurance would be a good investment. I know I sound like a broken record, but this is very important.
The other thing is night games require special rules, like everyone needs a flashlight and a glow stick (red rag). SO, its a lot to think about. Good Luck.

The Raiders will be hosting a Day/Night OP for our fall event in September as well as POSSIBLE a Night Open in July but we still have to discuss that.
