As I said, I would seriously re-consider that limit as it is EXTREMELY restrictive for what you are trying to accomplish. Even walmart shotguns will shoot harder than that with .2's. For what it's worth, here is my suggestion.
350 FPS restriction for the CQB field chronoed with .2g bb's. Semi-Auto only in or around to reinforce the safety factor as well as if it is necessary full face protection or a mouth guard for added buffer.
400 FPS restriction on full fields with a 25 M.E.D. for all AEG's with full auto allowed. 500 FPS restriction on DMR's that demonstrate full auto disabled 50 M.E.D. 550 FPS restriction on Bolt Actions with 75 M.E.D.
This makes uniform safety requirements that are in line with most starter guns that new players would be likely to purchase (i.e. Echo 1, G&G etc.) as well as safety standards that the insurance industry will tell you are in compliance.
The risk of 300 FPS and under is that players will be forced to buy either A) Tokyo Marui guns which while awesome are WAY outside the new player or high schooler budget or B) LPEG's and REALLY low end guns that will do more to dissuade a player from the sport to actually bring them in. It sounds to me like if you have a sound, nationally accepted set of standards with a thorough safety brief and quality players and equipment show up you will have the opportunity to both impress and intrigue the owner of scary creek and give him more incentive to allow airsoft days or have players host large scale events.

I'm okay with either. It's really only a 13 fps difference. If I don't get to go to vietnam patrol. I will be going to this.

350 to 300 =13fps??
or do you mean you'll give some leeway of about 13fps?
tested everything out last nite, ran King Arms 25gr in every gun i have..
NOTHING was under 300fps.... in an AEG or GGas.
had 1 battery powered pistol that was 220fps and it shoots about 10'.... LOL
not gonna go buy another gun for a couple hours of "cycle play".
so that takes me out of this game.
also takes DemonDave out.... we share the gun collection (he already didnt want to play cause he hates the owner anyway..but id talked him into it.)
will have to go to an event somewhere else.

A .20 bb at 350 fps has the energy of 1.13 joule. Equal to a .25 bb at 312.75 fps with 1.13 joule. See why the are close? The energy is a better calculator than fps. The reason for the 300 at .25 is it's at 1.04 joule. Like I said. I don't care. I'll put on a face mask and run 400 with .25 and a 15 foot med. I've done it before without a mask. Hence the reason I'd do it with a mask now.

Using .2g bb's for chrono again seems to be the uniformed norm. Trust me as an organizer adjusting the chrono every person is an unnecessary pain in the butt .

Game rules have been changed to 350 with .2gI'm not sure why there isn't more excitement about cqb. Go to dicks or some where, buy a cheap shotgun. Go pistol and shotgun.....Get one of those nerf axes too. We could go all airsoftgi... Almost forgot. What do you mean by cycle play SDK? We have the cqb area for 3 hours.

My guess is 15 - 20 minute "speedball" type games.

We have the cqb area for 3 hours. good move on changing to 350. more people will be able to play or at least be interested in playing.... lets all the gas pistols in. now as to the interest level? thats easy. most people didnt have anything that would fit and didnt have the extra cash to spend on buying another gun. for the younger members who wanted to play... they have 1 or 2 guns and that extra money spent on a gun would be there gas money to get there... had a couple mention to me that they couldnt afford to come if they just had to buy different BB's than what their parents had got them. times are tough bud and for a lot of the young crowd the sport needs to pull in, $13-$15 worth of BB's or a $30 Kmart gun is a deal breaker. personally like the CQB stuff, but still couldnt justify it to adjust or buy another gun for something that could be a 1 time thing at a 1 time location. you'll probably get plenty of people for the CQB now at 350 as any of us could just bring a GG pistol. again: good move.

Alright, rules are set. I think everybody is happy. I'm going to lock this so we can move to the actual game thread.
