ok i got the combat machine m4, i put in a m130 spring, shimmed it, even tested the shimming by screwing the gearbox together together and spinning the gears with my finger, spun good, i get it together, and it goes to fire and acts like the battery died and compress's the spring an locks up, its happened twice now after i put it together, and the wires get really warm, can anyone tell me whats wrong or any suggestions

battery not strong anuff to pull it,or not charged all the way, plus that will have you shooting well over 400fps even with .25. you will need at lest a 9.6 or bigger battery for the m130 spring and maybe a better motor

i have a 9.6 battery, and from researching G&G can run m130 with stock parts

I would be shocked if a stock G&G can run a M130 without trouble. What it sounds like is that your motor isn't powerful enough to cycle the gears with that spring man. The heat coming from your wires could also point to the same thing as the motor is getting power but isn't moving etc. If I were you I would look into a more powerful motor.
Just out of curiosity, why a M130 spring?

Check real quick, the depth of your motor may be up to far. I just "unlocked" a friends MP5. It would act like it was locked up and once I moved the motor back off it started to work again. something to look into.....

FPS does not equal range. A good hop up and barrel will do more for range and accuracy. The reason why DMRs have higher FPS is because it allows for heavier BBs and get better accuracy, but they sacrifice full auto. An M110 should be just fine for FPS. Then get a Madbull 6.01 TBB and a hop up and your M4 will shoot 200ft.

I had the same problem with a used gun I bought with a 130 spring, got a new motor replacing the stock fixed it for me I would have like a click noise pulling the trigger like it wanted to do something and couldn't I would be shocked if a stock G&G can run a M130 without trouble. You HAVE a 6.04, a 6.01 would make a world of difference.

Most stock barrels Lurker are 6.08mm, what is the inner diameter of yours? The other thing is that I am sure your G&G shoots amazing at 400fps +, that isn't in dispute. Tokyo Marui will out shoot (speaking distance and accuracy) most guns on the planet for one simple reason. Their hop-up is made of refined win, plain and simple . Your FPS has NOTHING to do with the range you get our of your gun, super high FPS is little more than a gimmick to lure players into thinking a gun is better than really is. A higher FPS will help you cut underbrush and put more strain on your gear box. Plainly put, if you want better range out of your gun, upgrade the hop-up, bucking and inner barrel, not the spring. Personally the Modify ultimate hop up chamber is pretty darn amazing. Get one of those puppies, leave the 100 spring in the gun and upgrade your hop-up bucking to a Systema or Prometheus and you will have something pretty darn special.
